Greater South Loop Association presents its “Community Updates” meeting September 21, 2013 at Daystar Center 1550 S. State St. at 9 a.m.

Tentative agenda includes:

• New apartment development proposed for 2036 S. Michigan Avenue
• Invited Alderman: 
• Ald. Bob Fioretti (2nd Ward),Ald. Pat Dowell (3rd Ward)
• Real Estate and Lending Forum to provide South Loop focused information with Q & A – prizes and give-aways from sponsors!

Directly following the meeting, Daystar Center will have an ice cream social (11 a.m. to 2 p.m.). The ice cream is free and the Daystar Center wants to “discover how you can ‘get centered’ this fall.”

The South Loop Toastmasters is celebrating their new charter at Weather Mark Tavern 1347 S. Michigan Ave. at 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. This event will feature gift bags for the first 60 guests and the chance to win a free 6-month membership to the club, and other raffle prizes.
